(A Skydiver's Perspective)
Fear can often be crippling. It can keep us from living the life we dream of, making important decisions, and taking steps into the unknown. It often stops us dead in our tracks before we can even get started.
Presented by Erika Lillie
Erika Lillie, Co-Founder of Opti-Life, is an RN and Master-licensed skydiver who has skydived competitively and logged over 1200 jumps. She will talk about what skydiving has taught her about facing fear, discuss a jump that quickly turned deadly and almost ended her life, and how she overcame this traumatic event. As a group, we will learn practical ways to face and overcome fears that are restricting us in life, and even learn to embrace fear as a friend.
This is a workshop that will involve a brief writing exercise, an opportunity to share within the group and Q&A at the conclusion of class.
Note From Presenter:
Hi everyone! I am really excited about doing this talk on Saturday morning!
You will not want to miss the very start of the talk! I'm going to take you through the skydiving malfunction that almost killed me, complete with video and audio simulation. I'll be talking a lot about skydiving with pictures and details about my own experiences. And we will be talking about ways to move into personal empowerment to overcome our deepest fears in life. I will talk about areas in my life where I really have struggled with fear and some important realizations.
If you have ever had interest in skydiving and/or have struggled with self doubt and fear (as we all do), this will be an important class to attend!
See you on Saturday!!
