  1. Why did you join Opti-Life? I joined because they are absurdly close to my home so I felt I would not have an excuse not to go. Haha.. But really, they advertised (and delivered) the complete package, really incorporating body, mind and spirit training.
  2. What has been your favorite thing about Opti-Life? The people! My first encounter with the staff was actually with Matt and Erika Lillie. I had no idea to whom I was speaking at the time, and they were so genuine and kind. Everyone I have met since then legitimately makes me feel at home when I come to the gym. I have a personal trainer, Connor Klamert, who really works with my individual needs and goals and is helping and encouraging me to achieve them. She is helping me achieve my weight loss and strength goals, and encouraged me to enter a Transformation Body Building Challenge this fall, which I never would have dreamed of doing.
  3. What Inspires you? Other people's successes and achievement of their goals by putting in the hard work required.
  4. What's your favorite healthy snack? Apples and 5gm sugar Kind Bars. Not having more than 5gm of sugar in a serving is important to not have the "sugar crash".
  5. How has Opti-Life improved your life? I have lost weight, gained strength, and met some awesome people. One of the great things are the "tribes". They are groups of Opti-life members with another interest. For example, they have a faith tribe where many people from area churches, who are also interested in fitness, gather together. Another tribe is the travel tribe who combine travel and fitness. It's brilliant!
  6. If you could have dinner with any one person (past or present) who would you choose? C. S. Lewis - he is one of the most intelligent Christian men in history, who has written some quality stories and I would just love to hear what he would talk about.
  7. What is one of your goals for 2018? To complete a 5K in under 30 minutes and/or achieve a 8:40min mile.
