This presentation talks about the latest scientific research that points to carbohydrates, not fats, as the major risk factor for heart disease and obesity. One of our goals is the help patients learn how lifestyle changes can treat type 2 diabetes and potentially cure it. This presentation also talks about other surprising truth about exercise and weight loss.
Dr. Marvin is licensed by the state of Kansas to practice naturopathic medicine. She graduated magna cum laude at National University of Health and Sciences in Chicago, IL, one of the seven schools accredited by the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges. Her areas of practice include but are not limited to: Family Medicine, Preventative Health, Nutritional Intravenous Therapy, Women’s Health, Pediatrics (including those with specific nutritional needs), Gastrointestinal Health, Thyroid and Adrenal Health, Lifestyle and Nutritional Counseling.
Safia was born and raised here in Wichita, KS. She completed her BSN at Wichita State University in 2007. As an RN, she worked in the ER, cosmetics and clinical practice. She earned her MSN through Walden University in 2016 and is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She has also completed additional training through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
